Should we reserve a spa package or just a room?
A majority of our guests book spa packages, as they are more economical and convenient. Most suites are reserved for guests booking packages; however, we still offer a limited selection of a la carte room and suite rentals.

Is it possible for pairs or groups to book spa services during the same block of time, so that we minimize the time we are apart?
Yes. Normally, we are able to schedule treatments at the same time of day. For example, scheduling everyone's treatments in the morning or afternoon. (Of course, this depends on the size of your group.) We do our best to schedule you at the same time, and are often able to schedule treatments within an hour of one another.

Do you offer special rates for groups?
We do not offer special rates or discounts for groups.

Can some guests in our party book spa packages while others reserve a la carte?
If you are sharing a room, we are unable to separate a la carte and package rates.  
Is dinner included in our spa package?
We do not offer dinner on our property. There are several wonderful restaurants within a 15-minute drive, and all suites (but not standard rooms) are equipped with kitchenettes.


Do accommodations have decks or balconies?
We do have several accommodations with decks or balconies.  They can be requested, but are subject to availability.

Do accommodations have fireplaces, hot tubs or Jacuzzis?
Our rooms do not have fireplaces, hot tubs or Jacuzzis.  For luxurious relaxation outside your room, we invite you to visit our on-site spa.*

Can we smoke?
Smoking is not allowed indoors or in public areas at Lakeview, such as on our main deck or outside our coffee lounge.  You are welcome to smoke outside your unit, if it does not affect your neighbors.

Do your accommodations have kitchens?
All of our suites are equipped with kitchenettes (standard rooms do not have kitchenettes).  Kitchenettes include an under-counter refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffeemaker and essential cooking utensils.

Do the queen rooms have a refrigerator and microwave?
Our $119/night rooms are not equipped with a refrigerator or microwave. If you'd like these amenities, upgrading to a suite is the best option.

Is there internet access in the rooms?
Currently, wireless high-speed internet access is available in our café and TV room. Internet access in the mountains can be unreliable. We offer WiFi free of charge, however do not guarantee a signal. We will not offer compensation for lack of service.

• Complimentary french-press coffee is offered on our cafe; however, we do not provide in-room coffee.
• Daily maid-service is not provided, but is available by request



Can I receive spa services if I'm pregnant?
We are happy to help you find a spa experience that is safe and enjoyable for you and your baby. We offer a wonderful prenatal massage.  All spa services using heat should be avoided.

Do we need to schedule spa services and yoga before we arrive?
Yes, please schedule spa services before you arrive, as the spa fills quickly.  If you're interested in yoga, it's helpful if we know prior to your arrival; however, you can always sign-up upon arrival.

Do you offer couples' massage?
We do not offer couples' massage (where treatments are performed simultaneously in the same room).  However, it's generally possible to schedule your and your partner's treatments at the same time.

Do you have a hot tub or sauna in the spa?
At this time, we do not have a hot tub or sauna in the spa.  Instead, we recommend our Aromatic Hot Towel massage, which blends steamy towels with a wonderfully relaxing 80-minute massage.

Can you please send me a brochure?
We are constantly making improvements to our facilities and services, and stopped printing brochures for this reason. All information can be found on our website, which is always up-to-date; or you are welcome to give us a call toll-free at 800-742-6492.

How close are you to the Bryson City Train Depot, NOC, Tsali and other attractions?
We are very conveniently located at the midpoint between Bryson City and the Nantahala Outdoor Center, off Hwy 74.  This means we are a short 10-15 minute drive from most popular attractions in the area.

What times are check-in and check-out?
Check-in time is 2:00 pm the day of your arrival. Check-out is by 11:00 am. If you would like to request an early arrival or late check-out, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. Without prior approval, however, we must insist on strict adherence to our check-in and check-out times, due to our housekeeping schedule.

How far in advance should we book?
As far as possible.  Since we are a boutique resort & spa, we fill up very quickly.  Holiday weekends tend to book months in advance, as do most dates in October. Summer dates also fill up quickly, so to get your preferred dates, be sure to reserve them as soon as you can. Last-minute availability is possible (you may always call to inquire); however, it is not common.

What can I expect the weather to be like?
Generally speaking, our weather is not extreme. Our location in the N.C. mountains means summers are warm to hot, while nights usually cool down significantly. Fall may be chilly, with days that are typically mild and pleasant. The rainy season is in winter and spring, but the weather is usually dictated by national front patterns. So, unless there is a large storm system moving through the area, precipitation is not likely even in the rainy season.

Regardless of which airport you choose, you will need to rent a car. Shuttle service is not available and you will want a car during your stay for convenience.  The closest airport is Asheville, N.C. (AVL), located only one hour east of Lakeview at Fontana.  There are several other airports nearby.
