The Candlelight Elopement Retreat is a private, on-property elopement experience designed as a slow, romantic unfolding — ceremony, after-vow moments, and a candlelit soaking ritual that becomes your celebration.

Rather than a traditional venue rental, this is a hosted retreat centered on atmosphere, connection, and afterglow.

 

👥 Can we bring guests?

This is meant as a couple-only retreat--think honeymoon with the added bonus of getting married.

This keeps the experience intimate, peaceful, and flexible.

 

🏡 Does the retreat include lodging?

Yes. Your retreat includes one night of accommodation for the couple on property.

The morning after your wedding, we deliver French press coffee and fresh pastries to your door.

Additional nights for the couple and accommodations for witnesses may be added a la carte and are based on availability.

 

📍 Where does the ceremony take place?

Ceremony locations are chosen based on light, weather, and season.

Options may include:
• our scenic viewing deck
• forest or meadow settings
• or, when weather calls us inside, our studio space transformed with candlelight, lanterns, and greenery into an intimate indoor sanctuary.

Because we host only a small number of retreats each week, we’re able to select the most beautiful option for your day.

 

🌧 What happens if it rains?

Rain becomes atmosphere, not a disruption.

When weather shifts, ceremonies are held in our studio space, which is styled with abundant candlelight, lanterns, and greenery inside and out — creating a warm, sheltered, deeply romantic setting.

Timing and flow may gently adjust based on conditions, always guided by comfort and beauty.

 

🕯 Tell us about the candlelight soak.

The candlelight soak is the heart of the retreat.

After your ceremony and on-site portraits, you’ll change into swimsuits and robes and walk a forest trail toward your private treetop soaking cabana as evening deepens and the surrounding trees begin to twinkle.

Your cabana is prepared with:
• an abundance of candles
• charcuterie + champagne
• warm water
• forest and mountain atmosphere

You may soak for up to three hours, from sunset into darkness.

 

🛁 Will we be photographed in the soak?

Photography always includes:
• your ceremony
• post-ceremony portraits
• the walk to the cabana
• candlelit arrival moments
• ambiance, champagne, and charcuterie

In-soak photography is optional.
If requested, it is brief, tasteful, and comfort-led.
If not requested, photography concludes after arrival moments and the rest of the evening is fully private.

 

📸 How long is photography coverage?

Most retreats include approximately three hours of photography, focused on:

• your ceremony
• unhurried post-vow portraits on property
• walking and transition moments
• candlelight arrival storytelling

Additional coverage may be added if desired.

 

⏰ How long is the ceremony?

Elopement ceremonies typically last 5–15 minutes, depending on whether you include personal vows or readings.

They are short, meaningful, and beautifully paced.

 

👗 Where do we get ready?

Your room is prepared as a Dressing Suite, including:

• large framed full-length mirror
• rolling garment rack + wooden hangers
• tall hanger for wedding attire
• steamer
• styling surfaces and extension cords
• supportive lighting

Robes are placed in your room so you can easily change after the ceremony before heading to the soaking cabana.

We welcome only a select number of Candlelight Elopement Retreats each week, allowing each experience to be thoughtfully curated. This gives us the flexibility to respond to light and weather — adjusting timing, locations, or the flow of the day whenever possible to create something truly beautiful and unhurried.

The Candlelight Elopement Retreat begins at $2,700, which includes:

• one night lodging for the couple
• ceremony hosting
• candlelight soaking experience
• welcome amenities
• morning coffee + pastries

Additional nights, massages, soaks, flowers, and photography enhancements may be added a la carte.
